Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor as well as a director producer and singer. A beautiful, smart and skilled actress, she's a great inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. After several appearances on popular television series and movies, she gained fame when she was cast in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese crime boss O-Ren Ishii. During this time she also acted as the lead in several flops on the box-office including Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she started voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen roles failed to bring her any kind of success. Southland was a critically-acclaimed crime-drama - established Liu's status as a top actress. Liu has a lot of care when picking her roles so that she's not a typecast. She has accepted her Chinese roots but she doesn't allow it to hinder her creative abilities.
