Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he's referred to for the music world, is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own musical band with three classmates, which was dubbed White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they took home the trophy. He was always interested in the arts, however he also wished to become a lawyer, physiotherapist or even scout. He was employed in an area bakery on a part-time basis to support his family financially. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the auditions of 2010 to The X Factor. The reason for this is that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he join of a new band called One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The five-piece band was sponsored by Simon Cowell. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You along with Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were among the most competitive groups in the competition. The group was however placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nevertheless paid $2 million to One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
