Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best known for playing House in the Fox medical drama House. As a child of strictly Jewish childhood she relocated from Wayne to New York City when she was just 18 years old to go to the Tisch School of Arts. She became very involved with the nightlife scene in the city of New York, and did enough that she was heard in the press. While doing so she began to become conscious of AIDS' devastating effects. Her experience and fame, and her own education to write and perform a show called Positive Me. She landed her first job with MTV as the anchor of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. When the show ended the actress went on to work in movies and television productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get small parts and established herself gradually as an actor.
