Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actress and actor who was in Sweden from the 1950s through 1970s. appeared in many European films, as well as American films. Her most famous role is in the comedy drama "La Dolce Vita". It was a huge critical and commercial success as well receiving an Oscar in the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before she began her career in acting she worked as an international model. In the end, she was crowned Miss Sweden Contest. She moved to the US, and began appearing in various films as minor role. She was the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott and Costello's Journey to Mars.' This was her first role with credit. Following her appearance in the film 'Blood Alley her film, she took home the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' Her filmography included many different films such as the American-Italian war drama film War and Peace, the Western 'Valerie,' the British Crime Adventure film The Man Inside and the The French/Italian Drama The Dam on the Yellow River.'
